    MP1100X released 

    MP1100X is compatible with not only Xilinx Foundation, but also ISE WebPACK which can
    be downloaded for free from the Xilinx homepage. Therefore, the cost to prepare design
    environment will decrease.

    MP1100X board provides various I/O devices to meet with most digital circuits
    experiments, and it was made to design not only simple experiment also advanced
    applications. You can easily experience logic design or VHDL experiment such as
    traffic lights controller, vending machine, or digital clock. For the advanced experiment,
    buzzer, VGA interface circuits, or LCD driving circuits can be designed.

    CMOS VLSI Layout Artwork Design and Lab released 

    This book focuses on the VLSI physical design process including simple gate design,
    mask design, and design verification process. A successful CMOS VLSI design engineer
    has knowledge in the areas of device operations, circuit design, layout, and simulation.
    Students learning CMOS IC design should be trained at a fundamental level in these
    areas. As transistor feature sizes move towards 0.1 micron, layouts must now be
    thoroughly considered in the design process because matching and parasitic effects
    become the limiting factors in many precision and high-speed applications.

    This book evolved from the existing book, CMOS Layout Design using MyChip Station,
    and from the lecture notes used since 2000 for teaching VLSI design class at
    Northeastern University taken by undergraduate students. This book assumes that
    the readers have a basic understanding of Boolean algebra and fundamental concepts
    of electrons and holes. At Northeastern University, the VLSI lab class is concurrently
    offered with VLSI lecture class. Most of the chapters have labs at the end, and the
    labs are designed so that students get hands-on experiences about VLSI CAD tool
    (MyCAD) and students can exercise the concepts they learned in the lecture class using
    MyCAD. This book has been written as a Lab textbook for undergraduate VLSI
    supplementary class for one semester.
